The terms and conditions specified on these pages are specific to orders on our website or from our catalogues and for delivery to the UK. Placing an order constitutes your acceptance thereof. Your statutory rights are not affected by any of these terms. Orders can be placed by post, by telephone or via our secure web site. Our telephone lines are open 7 days a week from 9am to 8pm (although these times are subject to change during quiet periods and Bank Holidays).

We will endeavour only to have products on our web site or in our catalogues that are in stock and available for ordering. Varieties that are unavailable will be listed as such and will not be selectable. Should a specific variety not be available at the time of despatch, The Vernon Geranium Nursery will include a substitute of equal or greater value where possible or send the item when stock becomes available. If no suitable substitutes are available, The Vernon Geranium Nursery will send a voucher. Should there be a delay of more than 2 weeks with the delivery of your order, we will do our best to contact you with a revised delivery date.

Your contract will be with Plants Direct Ltd trading as The Vernon Geranium Nursery, PO BOX 557, Guernsey, GY1 6JD, Company Registration: 30114. Despatch of the product by The Vernon Geranium Nursery (Plants Direct Ltd) constitutes the acceptance and commencement of our contract to supply. In accordance with the Distance Selling Regulations, you have the right to cancel your order at any time up to 7 working days after receipt. Please note that this does NOT extend to perishable items including living plants, cut flowers, bulbs, potatoes, onion and garlic sets, bare root plants, fruit trees, or fruit plants. If you wish to cancel an order please contact our Customer Services department within 7 working days after receipt. You must take reasonable care of the goods whilst in your possession and they must be returned to us, promptly, at your cost.

We accept Visa and MasterCard credit/debit cards for online or telephone orders and Maestro for telephone and post orders. Please note that your account will be debited on receipt of your order at The Vernon Geranium Nursery. If you wish to pay by cheque you will need to post your order to us and make it payable to The Vernon Geranium Nursery. If your card issuer or bank refuses to authorise payment to us, we will contact you for further instructions. We will not be liable for any resulting delay or non-delivery. Refunds are only payable to the purchaser of the goods.

Online vouchers and order codes are personal to each individual and any inappropriate use is fraud. The Vernon Geranium Nursery reserves the right to cancel any vouchers or order codes at any time.

All vouchers can be redeemed over the telephone however we can only accept vouchers to the value of £10 in any one transaction. When using vouchers online only one voucher can be used per order and the code must be entered in the Basket under the heading 'Voucher' half way down the page. When using order codes online please enter the code in the Basket at the top of the page under the heading 'Enter catalogue or newspaper code'. Only one order code can be used per order online.

Online prices reflect the very latest price points for all products. However, The Vernon Geranium Nursery reserves the right to change prices at any time. All prices include VAT if applicable.

If, in error, a product(s) has been priced inaccurately, either at unit level or through the activation of a promotion in the shopping basket, we will not be liable to supply that item(s) to you at the inaccurate price, provided that we notify you before we have despatched the product. In such circumstances, we will notify you of the correct price and ask you to confirm or decline your order for the item(s) in question.

Approximate delivery dates are detailed on the product pages and on your order acknowledgement. Unless otherwise stated all selling prices quoted are inclusive of reasonable postage and packing. We make a charge for picking and processing orders (P&P). All such P&P charges are shown separately and added automatically to your order. We cannot be held responsible for material displayed on third party websites or any other written material. We are not able to vouch for the reliability of prices quoted by shopping directories or on other third party websites.

We will ship your plants to you at the best time for planting. The sooner you can plant them up after arrival, the more successful you will be. Please ensure that you open the packaging immediately upon receipt, and carefully read through the instruction leaflet provided. Each plant variety, or product, will be packed separately, so if you order several plant varieties or products, these are likely to arrive on different days. Each package will state the item enclosed on the top line of your address label. Please do not be alarmed if you do not receive your entire order on the same day. When stocks are limited, we undertake to supply a variety of similar colour and habit and of an equal or greater value. We strive to provide the best possible products and level of service we can, but we are all human and occasionally we may fall below our own high standards. Our experienced Customer Services staff are there to assist you if you do encounter problems. Their aim is to respond promptly and efficiently to all comments to ensure you receive 100% satisfaction at all times.

If any items do not come up to your expectations when you receive them, we will offer a replacement (subject to availability), or credit, or refund the purchase price. Just notify us within 14 days of receipt of the goods.

If your plants show no signs of healthy growth after potting or planting, providing you followed exactly the instructions supplied, we will replace, credit or refund the purchase price if you notify us within 30 days of receipt of your order.

If any item supplied in a dormant state (eg bulbs, bare root perennials) fails to flourish the next season, let us know and we will endeavour to replace the product at the appropriate time, or credit or refund the purchase price.

Any plant or bulb that fails to grow true to name will be replaced, credited or refunded. We cannot accept responsibility for items that fail to grow due to extreme weather conditions, over- or under-watering, or which have not been cared for according to the easy-to-follow instructions supplied. Our liability is restricted to the purchase price of the item ordered.

The Vernon Geranium Nursery is committed to supplying high quality products to recreational gardeners and households for personal use. In accordance with the established custom of the trade, The Vernon Geranium Nursery will in no case be liable for more than the actual amount paid for a particular product on sale in the catalogues.
