Little Gem (Cannell 1910)

A lovely compact dwarf variety with a spicy rose scent and lots of little mauve flowers. It’s lovely to walk through the greenhouse when the scented plants are being worked on – it’s funny that your boss can tell you are working by the aroma you are producing! For once in the world there is a place where having a smelly job has a nice meaning!

They are not strictly ‘climbing’ but they grow long, slender stems and be easily attached to trellis or supports as they grow we’ve had great success in covering our own plain conservatory wall with these. It wont happen overnight but the results are certainly worth it!
