Crispum Variegatum (1774)

The vigorous lemon-scented variety from which “Oil of Geranium” is extracted. Oil of geranium is supposed to be very calming in aromatherapy – this must be why we’re all so calm on the nursery! This is the geranium you see in every Chinese take-away as it is such a good air freshener! Also great if your guests have been smoking!

This has got to be the most popular and famous tri-coloured geranium – surely everybody has heard of Mrs H Cox! It as is variety that is always in demand so she’s had a year off and been in our “geranium hospital” and we now have enough to stock to include her back in the catalogue. Our geranium hospital is a wonderful place to be – you get extra light, extra carefully balanced feed and extra heat! (I’m quite tempted to sit in there myself on a cold day working in the greenhouse!)
