Osteospermums are great - you plant them once and they are generally hardy and come back year after year. They will also spread out so are good for filling borders for easy maintenance gardening - just leave them to it! They will send out their bright blooms out to brighten up your displays all summer long. Height: 35cm (15"). Spread: 25cm (10")

Pot up plugs into 9cm pots and grow them on in warm frost free conditions for transplanting later on. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days. Transplant hardy chrysanthemum plants into borders and containers in a sunny or semi shaded position.
Feed and water plants frequently whilst they are getting established. Deadhead faded flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced. A little trim in April every year will keep them in shape.
