Dianthus (Pinks) 'Albert Hill'

We are delighted to be offering a range of pinks from the famous Allwoods nursery ... this specialist family run nursery is run by Liz's brother David and his wife Emma. As well growing as old favourites, they are constantly introducing new varieties so like Vernon’s they bring the best of the old and the new. Try some this coming spring in your garden and enjoy their beauty and wonderful aroma! These wonderful summer flowering pinks are ideal to enjoy in your garden - the fully double flowers are rose flecked with rose-red and have a lovely clove scent. This type of pink was created by the founder of Allwoods, Montagu Allwood. They’ll flower from May all summer - plant them in a sunny position in the garden and they’ll flower year after year and put on a pretty show - perfect! Ht 12 - 14ins.

Culinary note: Some parts of these flowers are edible. For more details about edible flowers click here.

Pot up plugs into general purpose compost. Once the roots show through the base of the pot, plant out in their final position - they prefer a sunny spot. Feed all through the summer months. Regular deadheading recommended. In autumn tidy and trim ready for new spring growth.
Feed and water regularly until dianthus plants are fully established. Deadhead faded dianthus flowers frequently to encourage more blooms to be produced.
We will do our best to ship your plants to you at the ideal time for planting as stated against each product. We recommend that you prepare your soil, planting beds or patio containers ahead of time so you are ready to plant out, or pot on, just as soon as your order arrives. You will find the name of the variety printed on the top line of the address label on your package. Please ensure that you open the packaging immediately and carefully read through the instruction leaflet provided. For greatest success, please pot on or plant out as soon as possible, following the cultural instructions enclosed with your order.
