Tubers Ideal for containers and baskets. Plant tubers of Begonia Illumination in small pots or trays in moist compost in early spring. Grow on in a warm, frost free position. Transplant into final containers when plants are well grown. In later spring plant them directly into containers and grow on in a warm frost free position.
When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise Begonia Illumination to outdoor conditions over a 7 to 10 day period. Feed and water plants frequently. Deadhead faded flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced. When stems blacken with first autumn frost, remove tubers from their containers. Wash and dry the tubers then store over winter in peat or sand, in a cool but frost free position. Replant the tubers in Feb/ March for another outstanding display!
