Pot up plugs into 9cm pots and grow them on in warm frost free conditions for transplanting later on. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days. Transplant geranium plants into borders and containers in a sunny or semi shaded position.
For pots delivered in autumn (when available) upon receipt of your pots put them somewhere warm and light to grow on over winter. A frost-free conservatory or greenhouse is ideal or a sunny windowsill. Keep them just moist but never waterlogged. Over the winter months remove any flower buds so that the plant puts it 's energy into growing the plant. Turn on a regular basis so they do not drawy to the light in one direction. No feed is needed during winter - start this in March. Click on this link for more advice on overwintering care.
Feed and water plants frequently. Deadhead faded geranium flowers to encourage more spectacular blooms to be produced.
We will do our best to ship your plants or bulbs to you at the ideal time for planting as stated against each product.
